Lana's music represents a facet of society, of the feminine mystique that is rarely discussed or even acknowledged. She has been set in her man-loving turned man-eating ways for 20 years now, if her individuality is threatened by anyone, she will walk away.

When asked if she is bothered by being labeled the “sad girl” of Hollywood, she explains, “I’m not cheerful all the time. But being able to express my sadness sometimes makes me actually more cheerful than some people, I know because I gave myself permission to have a lot of colours.”
